Standard i-Activsense® Safety Features

The 2020 Mazda CX-5 comes equipped with six standard driver-assist features to help keep you safe on the road. It is important to note that while these systems are designed as an additional tool to improve the safety of passengers, they are not a substitute for attentive driving.

Blind Spot Monitoring

This system alerts the driver if it detects any vehicles approaching the blind spot area. You will hear a chime and notice a visual light on your mirror as well as on the Active Driving Display.

Rear Cross-Traffic Alert

When backing up in spaces with reduced visibility, the Rear Cross-Traffic Alert helps detect any vehicle approaching from the side and rapidly warns you with a visual and an audible warning.

Smart City Brake Support with Pedestrian Detection

For those situations where a person or bike appears out of nowhere in front of your car, this technology will help you detect them and, if necessary, will apply the brakes to avoid a collision.

Lane Departure Warning

Staying between the road lines will no longer be an issue. This technology recognizes lane markings and warns the driver with audible, tactile and visual signals if it senses the car is drifting.

Lane-Keep Assist

In addition to the Lane Departure Warning System, this technology performs little steering corrections when it senses unintentional departure to help you remain in your lane.

Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop and Go

This system lets you maintain a specific speed and a proper following distance from the vehicle in front of you. When you engage it, your vehicle will automatically slow or stop as needed.
