As we mentioned in our introduction, the 2019 Mazda CX-5 lineup features the choice between two powerful and fuel efficient engine options – and when we say powerful and fuel efficient, we mean it, as the 2019 Mazda CX-5 lineup is even more powerful and efficient than the 2018 Mazda CX-5 lineup. The standard engine for the 2019 Mazda CX-5 Sport, Touring and Grand Touring trim levels is a SKYACTIV®-G 2.5-liter DOHC 4-cylinder engine complete with Cylinder Deactivation technology. This powertrain offers 187 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque. The standard engine for the 2019 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring Reserve and Signature trim levels is a SKYACTIV®-G 2.5-liter Dynamic Pressure Turbo 4-cylinder VVT engine offering up to 250 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque.
